Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising DLC With Video Preview

Recently Activision announced the second downloadable content for the notorious game Black Ops 2, which as rumors had shown, is to be titled Uprising. As per usual, the DLC will be making its first appearance on Xbox live set for April 16th. The pack will set you back 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) and if you're a season pass holder, this will be free to download on release; like previous add-on packs to the Call of Duty franchise, PS3 users can expect the content to be attainable one month later.
Uprising includes four multiplayer maps (Encore, Magma, Vertigo, and Studio), as well as a new Zombies map called Mob of the Dead. This mode takes players to the iconic island prison of Alcatraz situated in San Francisco, California. Players will be immersed into Mob of the Dead as excitement awaits at every turn, giving you a sudden impulse to fire your gun and this has been done in an attempt to keep the players enthusiasm high. The story will be including “some of Hollywood’s most iconic mobsters” which had been speculated. The characters include, Michael Madsen, Ray Liotta, Chazz Palminteri and Joe Pantoliano.
Mob of the Dead is to take an alternative approach to zombies which will be looking at a story of “four prohibition-era mobsters, Billy Handsome (Liotta), Al ‘The Weasel’ Arlington (Pantoliano), Salvatore ‘Sal’ DeLuca (Palmentiri) and Michael ‘Finn’ O'Leary (Madsen) serving time in Alcatraz Prison, only to discover that being behind bars is the least of their problems. With plans to break out of Alcatraz foiled by the rise of the undead, the quartet of inmates will have to lean on their mob-derived skills with firearms, blunt instruments and improvised weaponry as they battle the zombies infesting and overrunning the island.” They will also be implementing a new feature to zombies, a “Purgatory” feature. This new feature will “send players into the afterlife” if they become a casualty to the undead-horde.

The head of Treyarch Mark Lamia had the following to say, "With Uprising, the team has really outdone itself again. In addition to creating four amazing new multiplayer maps, the Studio has been hard at work on the Zombies front to surpass what we accomplished with Call of the Dead. What they've done this time around is nothing Zombies fans have seen before — and if you don't believe me, just wait until you get into Purgatory."
We can see a wide variety of action to be explored with this map-pack and with 4 new multiplayer maps going to be making their debut, we can be expecting a lot of commotion through-out. Multiplayer maps going to be added:
  • Magma - A modern Japanese village with volcanic eruptions carving multiple paths throughout the town
  • Encore - Takes place in the aftermath of a deserted London music festival with “numerous opportunities for run-and-gun, close quarters combat”
  • Vertigo - A futuristic high rise in India housing a high-tech lab featuring dizzying vistas and multi-tiered pathways
  • Studio - A remake of the original Black Ops’ Firing Range, set on a Hollywood movie back lot with a variety of cinematic themes that range from Sci-Fi to the Old West
